Tamagotchi, the biggest toy craze of 90s, returned with a reinvented gadget, transformed into a smartwatch.
For their 25th anniversary, they upgraded the simple egg-shaped device to the smartest version available today, known as Tamagotchi Smart.
It has a colored touch screen and a microphone that lets customers to pat the virtual pet's head. It also has a touch-hold feature, voice control, and a pedometer. There are also more characters than before.
The Tamagotchi Smart is currently available in two colors: coral pink and mint green.
Amidst being recreated, the wristwatch style remained an egg-shape. It has preserved initial care functions such as snacking, dressing up, and bathing.
Users can eat, sleep, and play with their virtual pets using the new product. It also has an intriguing wireless connectivity function that enables it to interact with other Tamagotchis.
Meanwhile, the Tama Smart Card is a memory card and a key plug-in for the newly invented device that is sold separately. It includes mini-games, accessories, and extra items for the virtual pet.
The console's starting price in Japan is around $60, but there has been no word on when it will be available in the global market.
