The World Health Organization has been demanding to ramped up the vaccinations and continuing the containment measures that are necessary to limit the spread of the new Omicron Variant.
There is still one billion people that are not yet vaccinated in the region of South-East Asia, and it is quite concerning for WHO specially that a new variant has arise.
The regional director of WHO South-East Asia Region (WHO-SEARO) Poonam Khetrapal Singh, says that the cases for Covid-19 in the majority of countries in the world are already decreasing. But it has been confirmed that the new variant Omicron is spreading faster and much more worse that Covid-19
He also stated that all the governments and the people should not let their guard down for it might become more worse if necessary precautions will not be done and follow anymore.
